Exterior Make Over

I took a break from posting for a while, because I was busy with a big exterior remodel project. The project started because we needed to replace our roof thanks to a hail storm. A new roof rolled into getting the siding repainted and if we were going to that we might as well bite the bullet and replace the 1970's windows and very drafty double front door. My house has been under some stage of construction for some time, but it is now mostly finished and back to posting I must get to. I have added pictures so that everyone can see the before and after photos.

Picking a New Front Door Color

Now that is nice out and I am outside more it has me planning my spring projects. One project I would like to have completed is repainting my front door. At this time my front door is a boring putty color that matches the trim on my house. I am really not one for boring colors and I would like add a pop to the front of the house. The photo below is a photo of my house and can see how boring the front door really is.

I would like a color that would complement the existing siding color, because repainting the siding is not in the budget for this year. However, I would to make sure it is a color that will stand out. At this time I am thinking a deep red, but I am still debating.
